 FIND A JOB Minimize

Search for jobs

  • Use America’s Job Bank (AJB) to find jobs around the nation. Create a job scout that emails you when new jobs are added to AJB; so you don't have to do the same search over and over.
  • Use job banks listed in the Career Resource Library.
  • Network with people you know and others in your profession to find new opportunities.
  • Contact trade and professional associations to find opportunities through their career services.
  • Contact the career center at the schools, colleges, and universities you have attended. They often offer job finding services to alumni and former students.
  • Use listing in your telephone book to find  temporary and other employment agencies.
  • Look for details in the newspaper about job fairs where employers gather to search for new employees.

Find employer that might be hiring

  • Use the Employer Locator to find employers in you area or another area you are considering.
  • Search in the Yellow Pages or other phone directories to find local employers.
  • Find guides and directories in the Career Resource Library or use business directories at your local library.
